Recently, our very own Jemma Johnston, Galgorm Wedding Co-ordinator extraordinaire, had a few extra tasks to complete being not only her best friends wedding planner but her bridesmaid as well!
Jemma Kettyle (nee Campbell) and Jemma Johnston went to Fenaghy Primary School together and even though they attended two different Belfast Girl Schools, (Hunter House and Victoria College) they continued to be best friends throughout their teenage years and to this day.
And what a wonderful occasion it was, one I’m sure neither of the girls could have predicted!
Jemma Johnston has given us an account of the run up to the big day.
“As well as all of the fun hen party planning activities, there was an element of professionalism to uphold as Jemma’s wedding co-ordinator. Luckily Jemma made for a very organised bride and had a clear vision and theme for the day, which I was able to help her carry out. Having chosen Wedding planning for a career I think it definitely helped me earn extra bridesmaids points by being on hand to help and advice on all wedding related matters!”
Jemma commented at how insightful it was to experience the Resort as a guest. “As a Galgorm wedding coordinator we sometimes take our highest standards for granted. I didn’t realise just how impactful the attention to detail we pride ourselves on has on the wedding guests. It was truly inspiring to see our Operations Team in action and be there to experience all the planning come to fruition to create an truly enjoyable and memorable wedding day for my best friend. Being part of the whole Wedding experience has given me a greater understanding of the stresses that our Bride & Grooms face which will certainly help me guide and support future Galgorm couples.”
