Chris Bell joins River Room Team…

We are delighted to welcome the return of Chef Chris Bell to take over the helm of our award-winning 2 AA Rosette River Room Restaurant.

Originally from Ballymena, Chris who is returning to the area with his wife Kath and their five-year-old son, originally worked for the company at the very start of his career as a school boy of 16.

He brings with him a Michelin-starred background from his most recent position as Head Chef of Paul Heathcoate’s Longridge Restaurant in Preston, as well as the experience of having worked in some of Belfast’s most iconic restaurants, including Deanes and Roscoff’s.

Former winner of the Gordon Ramsay scholarship and also the coveted title of Northern Ireland Chef of the Year in 2004, Chris’s talents were most recently showcased on the Great British Menu, where he represented Northern Ireland in the regional heats of the popular BBC cooking programme.

We can look forward to some stunning culinary creations from Chris whose style incorporates use of the very best of local suppliers and seasonal ingredients.  His ‘Taste of Antrim’ menu is really not to be missed!
