When did you start your career at the Resort?

I started working in Galgorm at the beginning of June 2018, where I was originally based in the Banqueting Department. I moved into the Events Department at the end of August 2018, and I’ve been there ever since.


What attracted you to a career in Events?

I am currently in my final year of a degree in Events Management, and part of my course was to complete a year-long placement in the Events Industry which I completed at Galgorm and I've been here ever since! I was naturally drawn to study Events Management as I’ve always had a passion for organising things since I was very little: birthday parties, school events and formals – I get so much enjoyment out of seeing something I have organised come together! I am very creative as well, and so I think this industry is of particular relevance to my skill-set.


What do you enjoy the most about your role?

I love looking after formals – I know that this night can be one of the most memorable moments in somebody’s entire school/uni life and so it genuinely gives me so much joy to make even a small contribution to that special evening!


Tell us a little about your favourite Galgorm Gem? 

It’s got to be the Renaissance… I mean, what can I really say about it that it doesn’t already say for itself? That room is a total masterpiece.


Your greatest piece of advice for those planning an event at Galgorm?

Naturally, a venue as beautiful and renowned as Galgorm is in high demand for events every day of the week, and so I would advise you to book as far in advance as you can to avoid disappointment.
