I started working at the Resort in August 2017 on Reception, I worked there for around 18 months before moving to my current role in Conference & Events at the start of January this year.
I had a strange path to the job I’m currently in, after leaving school I worked as a Sales Executive in two separate Multi-Franchise car dealerships for almost 2 years before moving into hospitality. I worked in a small family hotel in Belfast on reception for a few months before getting the opportunity to move closer to home and to a much larger Resort here at Galgorm. With all this in mind, I felt when the opportunity arose for a move back into Event sales, my experience gave me a unique angle to add to the current Events team.
Obviously I’m still relevantly new to the role but I really enjoy the full contact process with each individual client from initial enquiry right through the day of event and following up with feedback afterwards.
My favourite space is undoubtedly the Four Seasons Suite, the lounge area gives a quiet, comfortable space away from the main room with your own personal bar. The main room is a great size to fit everyone in spaciously but still able to accommodate entertainment and food. The private enclosed garden sets it apart from the other spaces at the Resort for that summer evening drink with friends/colleagues by the waterfall throughout your event.
