From grand entrances, backdrops for that instagrammable moment, to a ceremony location that’s sure to take your breath away, we’ve taken inspiration from the naturistic surrounds to create that perfect outdoor space for your memorable moments.
Located in the courtyard of The Phantom House, The Riverside Deck is a new ceremony addition and one that will create a truly enchanting outdoor experience for you and your guests. Built upon the River Maine with the unmistakable tranquil babble as your soundtrack, The Riverside Deck can host a small, personal ceremony at the heart of nature. The addition of a grand entranceway, leading to the courtyard of The Phantom House, this peaceful setting boasts myriad photographic opportunities with your nearest and dearest.
A cornerstone of the original Estate, The Phantom House has played host to many memorable ceremonies over the years with rustic charm and riverside setting. Nestling against the backdrop of ancient rolling woodland and gently flowing waterfalls, The Phantom House has been considerately enhanced to retain its unique charm while also offering a privacy for your celebration and a truly enhanced experience on your wedding day. A new walled entrance leads to a courtyard setting and our new Riverside Deck that makes this setting a perfect option for intimate gatherings and the all-important pre and post-ceremony photography.
Set in between the rolling, picturesque front lawns and a forest fortress, The Chandelier Garden is a magical space to explore and embrace the great outdoors on your wedding day. Surrounded by a cloak of greenery, The Chandelier Garden provides a fairytale outdoor ceremony space to accommodate both seated and standing guests, playing host to smaller or larger numbers. To enhance the journey for your guests, we now have an additional forest side path that will lead your guests to The Chandelier Garden from the main hotel entrance. As you make your way to your guests, you will take your own walkway leading through the natural arch of the tree’s entwined branches, carefully adorned with ornate chandeliers that reveal a tunnel vision view through to your awaiting guests. A simply breath-taking outdoor space for your celebrations.
The Wedding Team are experts when it comes to pinpointing those must-have backdrops for your wedding photography. What’s more, seasonality is key, and they know just the spots you mightn’t have considered (more on that below!) With that in mind, you can imagine their excitement at the addition of our brand-new Tree Swing located on the banks of the River Maine with views towards the cascading waterfall. Situated on a decked area, swing your way into married life, steal a few minutes for you and your love to revel in the moment, or get your photographs taken with your family and friends in this most beautiful of settings that promises to delight throughout the seasons. We’re eagerly anticipating the first shots of the Tree Swing from 2021 wedding season!
The Thermal Spa Village has had quite a glow up recently and we cannot wait for our newlyweds to explore and experience it for themselves. Where do we start! Make your way from Elements where we have introduced a riverside decking area for outdoor dining, which also leads the way toward the brand-new Alpine Garden featuring relax cabanas and the showstopping Vitality Pool, complete with the unmistakable sights and sounds of nature. We have also created a path from here leading around to our Serenity Garden with its new centre piece, The Palm House. An ornate botanical structure, The Palm House is a space to enjoy drinks from our mixologists selection of gin serves and imaginative cocktails. These can also be brought to you as you take a dip in our two new outdoor hot tubs located in front of The Palm House. What better way to catch up with your wedding guests the following morning as you immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and smell of nature while you sit back, relax and enjoy our new Thermal Spa Village additions.
There are plenty of spectacular seasonal settings around The Resort, but we couldn’t discuss the great outdoors without making an honourable mention to the Rhododendron. With its burst of colour that we welcome to our front garden from around March until the beginning of June, the rhododendron has become the perfect photography spot and outdoor ceremony feature for wedding couples. A lesser-known spot for photography, make your way through a small gap in the shrubs leading into an area surrounded by blossoms, a photographer’s paradise!
