Tell us a little bit about how you met & talk us through the proposal.
We met in the most traditional way over 4 years ago, online. Well, we could have met sooner if Peter hadn't completely ignored my first message. Fast forward to February 2022, Peter reached out, mentioning he had made a mistake and should have taken me out for dinner the first time round.
In July 2023, we spent 2 weeks in California, where Peter had lived for a year after university. He was planning on proposing in San Diego, 10 days into the trip. However, he decided to improvise on day 3 while we were visiting Yosemite National Park. I'm so glad he did because I could feel the stress in the air, even though I wasn't fully sure what was causing it. He walked me to a quiet path along one of the small rivers there, and with the massive waterfall as our backdrop, he got down on one knee and asked me THE question.
He knew he would have got a no as an answer had he done it in front of other people.

Why Galgorm?
We had initially booked Belfast Castle for our wedding, but after attending a band showcase at Galgorm, we fell in love with it.
We decided to book an appointment with one of the wedding planners and after an hour-long chat with Donna (because it's never just 30 minutes!), we decided to switch to Galgorm.
Besides the lovely grounds and reputation, we have to say the prospect of stress-free planning won us over. Having most of the suppliers managed by Galgorm made everything so much easier for us.
We can't thank Donna enough for how painless she made the planning, even when we had to push our wedding back by a year.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day?
That would have to be our ceremony. The atmosphere, the music by Nigel Elliot, but most importantly, the ceremony itself that Claire helped us put together. It's now a bit of an emotional blur, but we loved it, our guests loved it and we're so happy we got to share it with them.
