Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
Luke and I met back in 2022 and went on our first date just a couple days before 2023. The date started at Culture Coffee in Portstewart for a coffee in the afternoon. It went so well that we extended our date to also go for dinner at the Wine Bar. Fast forward 8 months we were heading on a mission trip to Kenya together with the charity Vision 4 Kids to help paint a kids school and also hold meetings for the kids. On our second day in Kenya (15th August) Luke got down on one knee infront of all the school children and other workers. It was incredible. I was speechless as I didn’t have any clue it was happening and it was such a surprise. This was such a special place for me to be purposed to as I have been out to this school 3 times. The first time it was just a field with nothing on it and now to see classroom blocks is amazing. My Dad is also one of the founding members of this charity and one of the class rounds was dedicated to my late Granny for all the donations she gave to help build the school. There really couldn’t have been a more meaningful place for our engagement. Fast forwards one year and we got married 20th August 2024 at Hebron Free Presbyterian Church followed by our venue in The Great Hall in Galgorm! This was the most amazing experience and we thank Galgorm for everything they did to help us make our day so wonderful.

Why Galgorm?
Galgorm is somewhere I have always thought about getting married but never knew if it would be in our budget. We had went to a few other venues and nothing was really standing out. When we came to see around Galgorm nothing compared. Donna our wedding planner from Galgorm was so amazing and showed us so many options and was so open with all the prices and package deals. We soon realised this was in our budget if we were to do the whirlwind package. This was like a dream come true. Galgorm where so accommodating and nothing was an issue at all. They let us bring our own tray bakes for afternoon tea and a sweet cart. We also had the Brook Anvenue ice cream cart and a stall for Those Wee Doodles our live illustrator. These were all massive highlights to the day. Everything went so smoothly and the wedding staff where just brilliant.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
This is hard to choose as I had so many! Not to be cheesy, but I really do think the best part was standing up in front of the church and getting to say “I Do".
