Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
We first met back in school, when Patricia joined Daniel’s sixth form. Although we didn’t start dating until after school, there was always a special connection between us. Five years later, on the 28th of July 2023, Daniel proposed in the most thoughtful way. We were staying at one of the cottages at Galgorm, and while I was getting ready for dinner, he transformed the living room — filling it with rose petals, photos of our favourite memories, and a balloon that read “Will you marry me?” It was so personal and perfect. From that night on, we knew this was the place we wanted to have our wedding.
Ceremony
Our outdoor ceremony was in the courtyard of Phantom House along the River Maine.
Reception
Our wedding celebrations took place in the Four Seasons Suite.
Why Galgorm?
Galgorm has always been one of our favourite places and we’ve celebrated many special occasions here over the years. After getting engaged at Galgorm, it just felt right to return and get married in the place that means so much to us.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day.
It’s tough to pick just one moment because the whole day was perfect. We were lucky with amazing weather, which meant we could have the ceremony outside just as we’d hoped. After that, everything fell into place and flowed so smoothly. Honestly, the whole day felt like a dream.
