Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
We meet in 2005, at our part time after school jobs. We have been together for almost 20 years. We were never really that fussed in getting married and focused on getting through exams, university, jobs and buying a home together before we even considered it.
A public proposal would have been both our idea of a nightmare. Ryan decided to propose at home- on champions league final night.
I think just to get me to let him watch the football in peace.

Why Galgorm?
We have always visited the Galgorm all through our relationship. It’s always felt like a home from home. All of the staff have always been the kindest and most attentive we have ever experienced anywhere. We only viewed the Galgorm and no other venues ! After meeting the lovely Donna and talking it all through we booked the date that day !
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
For us - it was the ceremony! (despite the nerves around the big crowd) it was having all of our family, friends and favourite people in one room, with our humanist celebrant, Claire Shearer, delivering the most personal, funny ceremony.
My highlight was Ryan’s speech. He’s typically not one to revel in the spotlight but he took his moment and had everyone laughing, and crying.
