Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
In true modern-day dating style, we matched after a swipe! After many long chats and much anticipation, we met for a coffee and a long drive. From that moment on, we knew something beautiful, loving and caring had begun. Sharing many of the same characteristics, interests and hobbies, we became a perfect match, one we truly believe was made in heaven.
The proposal took place at The Old Inn. Aaron transformed the cottage with red roses, swan towels, a photo album with “Marry Me” written on the bed. Aaron had told Rhys that he had won the night away to get him to go. Rhys was left speechless and of course said yes!
Just three days later, Galgorm hosted their Wedding Showcase and, well… we booked our wedding for the following year on Friday the 13th of all dates. Some say it’s unlucky, but to us, it’s the luckiest date in the calendar.

Rhys’ dream was to get married at Galgorm one day, and that dream came true. Aaron has also enjoyed Galgorm over the years, spending many nights at the resort with friends.
