Jonny & Fergal's Wedding
The Couple
Tell us a little about how you met & talk us through the proposal
Like most millennials, we met each other on a dating app! We had our first date at Starbucks on Botanic Avenue and that was us! Fast forward 6 years later and I had plans to propose to Fergal on a beach in Florida, but covid hit and I needed to come up with something I could do in the house. His mum brought him to get lost in IKEA for the day so that me and my family could set up candles, balloons and rose petals all around the house. I had a big sign saying “Marry Me” and got down on one knee when he walked in! We were both crying so much in the end that I was glad I proposed in private rather than on a public beach!

Why Galgorm
We had a lot of happy memories in the Galgorm before getting married and we’ve also had other family members get married there. We were always so impressed with how amazing all the suites are and also the great backdrops there are for photographs.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
There are almost too many to pick just one. It sounds strange to say but I think overall the thing we remember most is just how much fun we had with all our guests the whole day and night.

The Wedding Party Look
Our wedding party was black tie. We wore white tux jackets during the day and then changed to black jackets for the reception. All our groomsmen and page boys were in black tuxes and our bridesmaids and flower girls were in ivory dresses.
