Alicia & George's Wedding
The Couple
Tell us a little about how you met
George and I met 7 years ago at a nightclub in Belfast. It was a place that our friends would go every week and after a few weeks of George glancing at me from across the dance floor we got talking and he asked me out on a date! From the first moment we met we both knew we would be together! Now 7 years on , we are happily married and have a baby boy!
Talk us through the proposal
We got engaged on the 22nd of December 2014 in our favourite place the Galgorm Resort & Spa! George had booked a surprise trip to Galgorm as a romantic treat for me just before Christmas. We had an amazing day at the thermal spa and lunch in Gillies. We then got ready in our room as we had a dinner reservation for that evening. Just as we were ready to leave the room George handed me a card and said it was my Christmas card. As I opened it, I realized it said Fiancee on the front of the card! I then looked down and George was on one knee and asked me to marry him! While sobbing my heart out I managed to say YES! Galgorm is now such a special place for us both as not only did we get engaged there, we took a wedding brochure home with us the next day and booked our wedding at Galgorm!

Why Galgorm Resort and Spa
Galgorm Resort is such a beautiful and romantic setting! It was just perfect for the style that we wanted for our wedding day and the service that we received was outstanding every step of the way!
What made you choose a Resort Location?
It was fantastic to have both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception all in one place. From the moment we looked at the Phantom House we knew right away that was the perfect place to say our wedding vows. Then to have our wedding photos taken throughout the beautiful surroundings of the Galgorm Resort was amazing! Everything we needed to capture on our wedding day was all in one beautiful place.
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
The moment I walked into the Phantom House with my Dad on my arm and walking up the aisle to my husband was my most memorable part of my wedding day! I will never forget the emotion that took over me while walking up the aisle to my husband and say our wedding vows.
Advice for future couples
Try not to stress! All of the planning will come together on your big day and it will be your most beautiful memory for years to come! Enjoy every single moment and dance the night away as the day passes by so quickly!
