Donna & Nathan's Wedding
The Couple
Tell us a little about how you met
We both began working together in a local shop in 2008. After a year of being friends, we met on a night out in Dorman's Magherafelt which happened to be New years Eve. That was 6 years ago and so it goes on!
Talk us through the proposal
We booked a short, European traveling trip around Amsterdam, Paris, and London. It was my responsibility to organise the beginning of the trip and I tasked Nathan with the finer details in London. When we arrived in London, there was a taxi waiting to take us to the Savoy hotel. It had been booked for three nights. On the first night, I was instructed by Nathan to wear my favorite dress as he had booked somewhere exciting for dinner. After dinner, there was another taxi waiting to take us to the London Eye with impressive organisation of a queue jump to the front! Soon, I realised it was only Nathan, me and a bottle of champagne in the carriage and slowly noticed what was going on. As we reached the top, I maneuvered myself close to the bottle of champagne to pour a glass and apprehensively turned around to Nathan on one knee.

Why Galgorm Resort and Spa
It was the first place that we went on an official dinner date and where we held our engagement party so it definitely made sense for us to continue our journey there.
What made you choose a Resort Location?
We were really lucky to have a resort location so close to home as it is great to have everything you need in one place. Overnight guest were accommodated for and it was nice to be able to gather for breakfast the next morning. As well as this, we took the benefits of the spa facility the next morning to sit down, relax and take in that we were actually married!
Tell us the most memorable part of your day
It was really exciting to enjoy our first dance as husband and wife together and afterward, all of our family joined in to celebrate such a special day.
Advice for future couples
The small details really are small details. Without them, the wedding will still slot into place and be great on the day. The little things really aren't something to worry about.
